As part of the JCI Cebu-Mactan Channel Week Celebration, the chapter will hold another session of the Nationally-awarded program Do you STILL have what it takes? Bowling Fellowship on May 15, 2008 at the SM City Cebu Bowling Center.  All members are encouraged to join!

 
Finding NeMO! May 9, 2008

Junior Chamber International Cebu-Mactan Channel recently held its JCI C-MC Recruitment Program Finding NeMO! (New Members' Orientation) last May 9, 2008 at the Coffee Dream Shop in Kia Motors, Gorordo Ave., Kamputhaw, Cebu City. 


Accomplishing the task as Trainer was 2007 Cebu NatCon PRIME Graduate and Chapter Training Force stalwart Irish Rago.  Utilizing the skills and experience of the JCI Cebu-Mactan Channel Training Force, the chapter packaged the JCI New Members Orientation into the Finding NeMO Program, an experience-rich and informative session for those who have been invited to join the JCI movement.

CYEA Search

JCI Cebu-Mactan Channel selected as the Official Central Visayas Regional Coordinator for Creative Young Entrepreneurs Award


Junior Chamber International Cebu-Mactan Channel, through the efforts of 2008 President Jolex Yu Lim and National Projects Commissioner Dennis Cabase was recently selected as the official Central Visayas Regional Coordinator for the search of the 2nd Creative Young Entrepreneurs Award.

CYEA is an international competition that recognizes the young leaders and entrepreneurs and the role of creativity in their success.

With its theme "Shine! Standout to be the World's Most Creative Young Entrepreneur," CYEA will recognize young Filipino entrepreneurs for their innovation and fresh ideas.  "We believe in the capacity and creativity of the 'new breed'," said JCI Mem. Ana Pista of JCI Cavite Magiting, deputy national chairman of this year's CYEA in a media briefing hosted by JCI Cebu-Mactan Channel at Chowking Redemptorist last May 2, 2008.

Let us help the Junior Jaycees!

2007 President - JCI Cebu-Mactan Channel

Early this month I had the great privilege of being invited to participate in the Philippine Junior Jaycees National Convention here in Cebu City.  It was excellently hosted by the University of San Jose-Recoletos "Jaguar" Junior Jaycees, undoubtedly one of the most active chapters in the entire nation.  Our Local Organization of regular JCI members, Cebu-Mactan Channel was quite fortunate enough to be very involved with the conduct of the entire National Convention.  Our General Legal Counsel, JCI Mem. and Attorney Mae Elaine Bathan, is the adviser of the host Junior Jaycee Local Organization while our Special LOM Adviser and member Lorelei "Maimai" Dasmariñas is also a concurrent adviser to the Jaguars.

JCI Week Exhibit 2008

JCI Cebu-Mactan Channel joins the celebration of JCI Week 2008 with the JCI Exhibition at Robinsons Place Cebu


Junior Chamber International Cebu-Mactan Channel in its continued effort to promote the JCI activities in the Central Visayas Region joined in the celebration of the JCI Week 2008 by hosting a JCI Exhibition of the various JCI chapters in Central Visayas held at Robinsons Place Cebu from April 14-16, 2008. 

Serving as Project Chairperson is newly-inducted JCI Mem. Mariecor Araneta, a former member of the USC Junior Jaycees.  The exhibit seeks to further promote the programs and projects being undertaken by the ten (10) chapters belonging to the Central Visayas Region, namely Bayawan Ibayaw, Bohol Sandugo, Cebu, Cebu-Mactan Channel, Cebu Sinulog, Consolacion Sarok, Chocolate Hills, Mandaue, Metro Cebu Uptown and Zugbuana.

March 2008 Bowling!

Do you STILL have what it takes Bowling Fellowship!

As part of the new program implemented by the 2008 Administration of JCI Cebu-Mactan Channel and as approved by the General Membership, the award-winning Do You Have What It Takes Bowling Fellowship took on a different twist.  Beginning March 2008, it will now also serve as the Birthday Fellowship of members celebrating their respective birthdays each month. 


March served as the birth month of IPP Angelo Daniel Parcon and Associate Member ICE Eviota among others.  Members gathered once again to enjoy each one's company and enjoy the night playing bowling at the SM City Cebu Bowling Center last March 27, 2008.
