Kodama cites ‘energy and enthusiasm’ This website impresses the JCI world leader CHESTERFIELD, Missouri, USA (Feb. 17, 2009) – Junior Chamber International (JCI) Secretary-General Edson Akitoshi Kodama today lauded JCI Cebu-Mactan Channel for the “high spirit you all have in making the impact in your community.” Kodama also praised the chapter for this “nice” website in which he noted “we can feel the energy and enthusiasm of each one of you.” The JCI world leader from Brazil suggested to the leaders of JCI Cebu-Mactan Channel to update the site to align it with what the JCI Strategic Planning Committee (SPC) formulated. The General Assembly approved during the JCI World Congress in New Delhi, India last November 2008 the recommendations and suggested action steps of the JCI SPC.
JCI SG Edson A. Kodama “While I was going through your website, I noticed that there are some parts that need to be updated according to what was approved by the General Assembly in New Delhi,” he pointed out. Kodama sent his message from the JCI World Headquarters in this county near St. Louis, Missouri where Henry Giessenbier started the JCI movement. Prompted by the message, 2007 President Angelo Daniel R. Parcon immediately assembled the chapter’s Web Development Team to act on Kodama’s remarks. He assured Kodama that immediate changes were made, and that the website team will continue to adhere to the approved JCI SPC recommendations. Parcon also felt elated for the remarks he left for the chapter and its website visitors. “Nothing warms our heart more and kindles the fires of passionate service in us than to see our JCI Secretary General make his mark on our website!,” he said. Kodama visited this website of JCI Cebu-Mactan Channel upon the invitation of the 2006 Charter President Cerwin T. Eviota, CNT, NG, through Facebook chat. He left his note in “Our Story” page.
