JCI Cebu-Mactan Channel, through the efforts of the Chapter Training Team, recently completed the Career Seminar entitled Communicating with Impact: A Career Development Training Workshop.

Benefitting the graduating scholars of St. Peter Academy of Alegria Foundation, the two-day seminar discussed various topics ranging from how to communicate effectively to how to impress potential employers in a job interview.

The two-day course last February 23 and 24, 2008 was held at the DECS Applied Nutrition Center, in Brgy. Banilad, Cebu City.  The project was chaired by JCI C-MC New Member Ailene Labrague.  Conducted by Head Trainer and JCI Certified National Trainer, Maimai Dasmariñas of the JCI C-MC Chapter Training Force, the seminar aimed at providing the young scholars with much needed preparation as they enter the transition from the halls of education to the rough and tumble world of professional employment.

Charter President Cerwin T. Eviota ably provided the interview portion for each and individual scholar with the possibility of landing them employment.  2008 President Jolex Yu Lim and PRIME Graduates Ryan Expeditus Andales and Iris Vera Petralba of the Chapter Training Force acted as Assistant Trainers throughout the sessions.  JCI Baby Donna Calamohoy, wife of VP Eric gave a workshop to the scholars on proper grooming.

VP Programs Marlon Polinar, SG Emi Parcon and IPP Angelo Parcon provided a boost of morale support for the trainers and the scholars.
