Bring Out the Invisible

Vol. I, No. 01  *  11 January 2009

JCI Mem. Irish A. Rago By JCI Mem. IRISH ARONG RAGO, PG
2009 Vice President for Operations

I was just entering the front door, a little tired from a day’s work when Brandt, my son was rushing and hugging me excitedly:

"Mommy, guess what? I made several goals today and my team won! I remembered what you told me that I can help the team.

I went after the ball and kicked it hard. You are right, if I think that I can do it, I will be able to do it."

Wow! I was so amazed with the profound learning at such an early age and all because of a soccer practice! But was it really what I told him that made it all possible?

Perhaps. It could have given him that little push for him to believe he could do it, for him to bring out something from within to enable him to do it. For a grader, it was such an enormous achievement – leading his team to win.

What really happened was that he was able to bring out the invisible to our visible world and make a difference.

Leaders become what they are not because they are blessed with leadership skills, rather they dared to draw out the invisible – their talents, took risks to immerse themselves in opportunities for them to develop.

Parable of the TalentsWith persistence, they were able to create something visible that made a difference in the lives of other people.

It is relevant to recall the lesson from the Parable of the Talents. One of the three men was so afraid to lose what was given to him, so he kept it to himself. He not only failed to increase what he had but he lost what he diligently guarded.

9 Things a Leader MUST DOAs Dr. Henry Cloud said in his book 9 Things a Leader Must Do, “….the first thing leaders do to succeed is to listen to their hearts and invest in their inner desires and drives.”

It’s time to Shine!

Bring out that special and unique potential in you, persistently invest and be amazed of the number of people you can inspire!

avatar Hey, I like your blog, Irish!

It seems like ... no, maybe even better
than .... the Monday Morning Message of our 2003 World President Bruce A.
Rector.

A compilation of your INTUITION and REASONS would certainly sell!

avatar Welcome to the world of blog-isms, 'rish!

For the information of everyone,
it was during the term of Irish as LOM President of the USC Junior
Jaycees when I first became part of the JCI movement. I owe to her
administration the formation of my passion for the movement and I am
indebted to that!

Padayon 'rish! May you soar to new heights which will surpass what you achieved
as a Junior Jaycee! Maskin unsaun, you will always be my President!
