Chief delegates from various national organizations at the JCI World Congress in New Delhi, India elected last Nov. 7 JCI Sen. Rafael “Boydee” P. Dizon III, our 2000 National President from JCI Manila, as Executive Vice President (EVP) for Area B, also known as Asia-Pacific. JCI World Leaders. 2008 President Graham Hanlon from Ireland (left, left) places the presidential medallion on his 2009 successor, Jun Sup Shin of Korea. Also elected to the 2009 JCI Execom is our own Boydee Dizon (above, left), EVP for Asia-Pacific. Decu Cunanan (right) will serve as CEO of the 2009 President. As JCI Sen. Cunanan, CLT, our 2005 National President from JCI Magalang "Mekeni" (Pampanga) and 2008 JCI Vice President, as his Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the position he held this year serving the 2008 JCI President, Graham Hanlon of Ireland.
JCI Sen. Fulbert Chan Woo, CLT, our 2009 National President (NP), led the national organization in congratulating his two highly respected predecessors, as he wished them success when they serve their term by January 2009. He attributed their elevation to the respect JCI Philippines regained from the world federation as demonstrated by the performance of the national organization, the contributions of its affiliated chapters and the accomplishments of Filipino members. “It is high time to let people know once again that Pinoys are world class, capable and talented," delcared JCI Sen. Cecilio Pedro, founding President of Lamoiyan Corp. and a respected father of JCI Philippines. The four Presidents JCI Cebu-Mactan Channel has produced – 2006 Charter President Cerwin T. Messages from JCI Cebu-Mactan Channel JCI Mem. Jolex Yu Lim, CLT, our 2008 President: “Boydee is one of my trainers during the 2008 Presidents Academy in Cebu. He’s got lots of energy to reverberates to other people. Congratulations JCI EVP for Asia Pacific Boydee Dizon.”
JCI Mem. Emi Rose R. Parcon, Trainer Graduate, our incoming 2009 President: “I’m extremely glad that the Philippines has a larger voice in the world arena through JCI. Politically, we’re just a pawn. But through JCI, we help shape how the world will progress. I know Boydee knows that and I know he’ll be great at leveraging that position (as world EVP in JCI). 2009 will indeed be truly great and relevant year, especially with Decu as our JCI President’s CEO. Despite the differences in our political leanings during our UP days, I’m proud of the guy. His heart is in the right place.
JCI Mem. Angelo Daniel R. Parcon, our 2007 President: "To our 2008 World VP, congratulations on your appointment as 2009 JCI CEO! May the passion and your determination to contribute to the success of JCI someday bring you to become as the next Filipino World President! Mabuhay ka! And Happy Birthday!” Congratulations to our new 2009 World EVP Boydee! May you bring the prosperity, the Vision and Mission of JCI to greater and renewed heights! I can never forget our experience during the 1999 Natcon in Cagayan de Oro when you assumed the mantle of leadership. While you were NP, I was also the NSG of the Philippine Junior Jaycees. Gopdspeed!”
JCI Associate Mem. Cerwin T. Eviota, CNT, NG, our 2006 Charter President, appointed by Decu as 2005 interim NTC Chair, new member when Boydee was NP: “We’re very proud of you, Boydee and Decu! By your passion and love for JCI, no doubt will 2009 be a banner year for the global federation that will be very relevant to JCI Philippines, and to all the chapters in our country. You’re among a handful leaders in our NOM who I truly admire. May your brand of leadership touch the hearts and minds of more JCI members. I wish both of you will lead JCI as World President soon. Mabuhay kayo! And Happy Birthday, Decu!”
JCI Mem. Lorelei “Mai-Mai” M. Dasmariñas, CNT, 2005 JCI Cebu Hara president and now our L.I.F.E. executive director, recently appointed as APDC Councilor for Indonesia and Brunei: “Knowing what (Boydee) has accomplished in the past, I’m sure he can deliver. I just hope, he can be a positive voice in JCI, especially in the aspect of training with a heart. His wife, my PRIME batchmate, is a trainer.”
Messages from Cebu JCI Sen. Robert L. Go, 1996 JCI GLC, 1995 JCI Associate GLC, 1994 JCI VP, 1992 Special Assistant to the World President, 1991 APDC Councilor and NSEVP, 1990 NT and 1987 JCI Metro Cebu Uptown President: “I would like to congratulate Boydee as the new EVP for JCI ASPAC. It is high time that we have another senior JCI officer from the Philippines. It always brings honor to us, Filipinos, if anyone becomes an officer (in the world) who will bring us closer to JCI, especially now that Marcel (JCI Sen. Fernan, 1995 NP) is no longer at the JCI Headquarters. Boydee is an abled leader who can steer JCI in the Asia-Pacific to greater heights. Remember that it is a great year for JCI Japan because (JCI Sen.) Taro Aso, the godfather of JCI Japan and chairman of the JCI World Advisers is now Japan’s Prime Minister and a friend of JCI Philippines. With Decu as CEO, that would be a plus for JCI Philippines since we can have somebody nearer to the World President.”
Past JCI Mem. Lyndon L. Fermo, PG, 2003 NEVP-Visayas, JCI Cebu 2002 President: “(Boydee) deserves to be World President. I’m looking forward to that!”
JCI Sen. Gino C. Gonzalez, JCI Cebu 2001 President, the Most Outstanding in the Philippines: “I would like to congratulate Boydee and Decu, my contemporaries during my active JCI years. They are pillars of JCI Philippines whose commitment has inspired many of us to work harder for the organization. Cheers to both of you!”
JCI Sen. Jef G. Calomarde, PG, 2001 NVP, JCI Cebu 2000 President: “Wow! It’s great to know the about the news of my NP (Boydee) who deserves the position. Congratulations!”
JCI Sen. Sammy Go, 1997 NEVP-Visayas, JCI Mandaue 1996 President: “May the great year 2009 make the JCI Philippines a difference in the JCI world. More power and keep Jaycee’ism alive!”
Messages Nationwide JCI Sen. Ismael “Maeng” Penado, CNT, 2006 NP, 2000 NT to Boydee and 2005 ED to Decu: “Boydee and Decu will be excellent Ambassadors of the JCI movement and of JCI Philippines.
