Mai is a Training Specialist, Professional Host and Events Specialist among others.. She was responsible for the Recruitment, Training and Quality Control Management of the 300 Liaison Volunteers of 12th ASEAN SUMMIT held in Cebu City last Jan. 10 – 15, 2007.

After spending 4 years in the broadcasting and journalism industry with RPN 9 as News Reporter and with Philippine Daily Inquirer as Editorial Assistant for Visayas Bureau, she joined Pulchra Resort as a Sales and Marketing Executive. Implemented sound, successful marketing strategies; she was instrumental in the improved quality control and professionalism while promoting customized service for special events.

After 10 years in the corporate world she decided to become a full time entrepreneur. She is the founder and CEO of MIA DISENYO, a company offering a variety of services. An events management outfit she started last 2001 offering services in event planning, coordinating and management; hosting. As a professional trainer, she handles customized training programs for organizations, schools, companies and individuals. She also does publication layout and designing for school yearbooks and newsletters for companies, schools and organizations. REGALO AT IBA PA, another company she owns caters to unique gift wrapping services and customized gift ideas. She is also a Partner and Tour Coordinator of Exodus Tours Phils., a tour operator catering to inbound and educational tours.

She had accomplished Studies in Travel and Tourism at Cora Doloroso Career Center and Mass Communications at St. Theresa’s College, specializing in Journalism and Broadcasting.  

A member of the Junior Chamber International, a federation of young leaders and entrepreneurs, she is a Certified National Trainer for JCI Asia Pacific Region and the 2005 Chapter President of JCI Cebu Hara. She was the 2006 & 2007 JCI Philippines Area Training Director for Visayas. She was awarded Most Outstanding Trainer for Area 4 during the 2007 JCI Area Convention at Catbalogan City and Most Outstanding Trainer of JCI Philippines during the 2007 National Convention held in Cebu City. Currently she is a Senior Adviser and Trainer of JCI Cebu - Mactan Channel.
