New JCI Cebu-Mactan Channel Trainers

Six (6) JCI Cebu-Mactan Channel members obtain JCI Trainer status under the tutelage of JCI Sen. Gleendo Dasmariñas, IG.

TALAMBAN, CEBU CITY (February 12, 2012) – Thirteen new JCI Trainers from four (4) different JCI local organizations in Cebu graduated from an intensive training course using the new version of the JCI Trainers program last February 11-12, 2012 at the Cebu Mary Immaculate College in Talamban, Cebu City.

The activity was spearheaded by JCI Mandaue through the efforts of project chairman and local organization Training Director Gary Garceso which formed part of JCI Mandaue’s 2012 President Michael Villanueva’s commitment to augment the training teams in Cebu.

A concert for Sendong victims

JCI Philippines Area IV with the Cebu City Government, McDonald's, KBP and the Cebu Association on City and Municipal Public Information Officers (CACMPIO) join hands for the benefit of CdO, Iligan and Negros

McDONALD's JONES, CEBU CITY (22 December 2011) - On Saturday, Dec. 24, 1-8 PM, a concert for a cause participated in by (so far) at least 30 Cebu bands who will entertain donors who are expected to troop to Fuente Osmeña following a radiothon by all KBP-Cebu member FM and AM stations from Friday at 7:30 AM when a pooled broadcast is conducted with the campaign (on-air-plugs and live calls by anchormen and DJ's) running until the concert will end.

Cebuanos will be urged to troop to Fuente Osmeña circle with their donations in 4 additional tents that will be set up around the oval, plus one at McDonald's Jones. As they bring in their donations, they will also be treated to non-stop entertainment by live band performances with loud speakers facing every receiving tent other than those facing the audience within the oval.

JCI Philippines Area IV spearheads efforts to provide relief goods to badly hit areas of Cagayan de Oro, Iligan and Negros

JCI Philippines Area IV efforts to aid Cagayan de Oro and Iligan cities

JUNIOR Chamber International (JCI) yesterday launched the JCI ABAG Cagayan-Iligan-Negros relief campaign for the survivors of the Dec. 17 flash floods in northern Mindanao.

The organization of young active citizens responded to the call of Cebu City Mayor Michael L. Rama who echoed the call for help from Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Vicente Emano and Iligan City Mayor Lawrence Cruz and Vice Mayor Henry Dy.

They aligned their efforts with the Cebu City Government and collaborated with McDonald's whose stores in Cebu will serve as receiving centers for donations from kind-hearted Cebuanos.

Emi Rose R. Parcon, JCI Visayas area secretary and lead organizer, disclosed that the JCI initiative is conducted Visayas-wide as mandated by the group's area vice president for the Visayas, F. Constantine Yu.
