JCI Mem. Emi Rose R. Parcon, also a recent JCI Trainer graduate, won over JCI Mem. Eric M. Calamohoy, 2008 Vice President for Development, in the first ever contest for the presidency of the chapter since the chapter acquired its charter from JCI Philippines in 2006.

Parcon, a charter member of the organization, earned 21 or 77.78 percent of the votes from 27 members who participated in the electoral process from a total of 62 members the chapter has had since its creation. Calamohoy, who openly accepted the verdict and vowed to serve the chapter with the same passion he has had since he transferred from JCI Cebu, got five votes.
